1. Eat.....This is probably the most important . I eat pasta, crisps, chocolate bananas, tuna, apples throughout the day. I sit at a desk all day and try to stuff down the calories. You have to eat big, to get big. Don't mess around with stupid diets to build muscle, just try and get as much food as you can down be without eating too much fat ( for obvious reasons ). Food is fuel, you need fuel to build muscle.
2. Drink plenty of water. without drinking water all the goodness, protein and fuel cannot travel to your muscles and you will deprive your self of muscle growth. Fair enough you may need the toilet a lot but who cares. I probably get through 2-4 litres a day. Your muscle is made up of water also, if you don't drink water your starving your muscles.
3. Never train a muscle that is still hurting from a previous work out. I would never train a muscle the even has any pain in. Most people say leave in 48 hours before you train that muscle again, but this is crap. muscle building doesn't work like that. If your training muscle that still hurts you will get smaller as you just keep breaking it down, your not leaving enough time for it to recover and grow bigger. If you train your biceps on Monday and they still hurt on Friday ( which they may do!!) DON'T TOUCH THEM!!!!!!. You must wait till they are fully recovered.
4. Train your legs. you must train your legs, you may hate doing this at first but you will notice them getting bigger quite fast then begin to enjoy it once you see the progress. Your leg muscles are massive compared with everything else, when you train them you release testosterone hormone in your body which is key to muscle building.
5. Mix it up. You must mix up your routines. Don't train your chest doing the same old bench press every time. Your body will get used to it and you will stop seeing progress. One week train your chest using bench, next time you train them using dips next cables then next dumbbells. You need you challenge your muscles otherwise they get used to it and stop growing.
